01 — EXPERIENCE

My journey

EXPERIENCE · Sep 2023 — Present

Software Engineer · Vitresoft

One of Poland’s largest game server hosting providers · craftserve.com · intern Jul — Aug 2023

  • Co-built, from the pre-launch stage, a game server management platform that replaced the company’s legacy Pterodactyl-based solution; now develop it largely single-handedly as the sole frontend developer.
  • Design interfaces and own UI/UX decisions; design and run A/B tests aimed at improving user experience and sales.
  • Work with AI agents: delegate tasks, review generated code and verify changes.
  • Built the in-browser server console, a WebFTP client, purchase and sign-up flows, a gRPC-based server process view and authorization management, plus internal libraries (UI components, csrvfs for file handling).
  • Shipped web apps for live events with Poland’s biggest gaming creators under tight deadlines; mentored interns.
EXPERIENCE · Feb 2023 — Present

Software Engineer · Fundacja Peryskop

Non-profit · free online psychological support platform · fundacjaperyskop.org

  • Joined as the first developer on the team and saw the project through its whole evolution: from a form-handling tool to a psychological support platform that now helps people in crisis.
  • Focus mainly on the frontend and UI/UX design, and step into the backend when needed.
  • Design interfaces for non-technical users: identify pain points in their daily work and simplify key tasks.
  • Act as a bridge between the organization and the technical team: select developer candidates, run code reviews and mentor less experienced frontend developers.
  • Built key parts of the frontend: a WebSocket-based chat, admin panels, integrations with dedicated form systems, articles with an article editor, and permissions.
EDUCATION · Oct 2023 — Feb 2027

Bachelor of Engineering (Inż.) in Computer Science

WSB-NLU, Nowy Sącz, Poland · part-time (weekend) studies · expected Feb 2027

02 — PROJECTS

I’m specializing in making web-apps

  1. Game Hosting Platform & Server Management Dashboard

I developed key modules of a game server hosting platform, including the server management panel (settings, payment flow, an in-browser file manager (WebFTP), a web console, and server configurators). I also worked on the public-facing website: the homepage, offer pages, payment forms, and a server builder tailored to users’ needs. The platform caters to a wide audience, from young gamers to experienced server administrators, so I focused on making complex functionality simple and accessible.

I was responsible for UI/UX design, including a redesign, as well as for developing the company’s internal TypeScript frontend libraries. I started as part of a frontend team and later became the sole frontend developer on the product, taking full ownership of the codebase and its technical direction.

  2. Item Shop Builder

An application that allows game server administrators to build their own item shops, where players can purchase virtual products. I worked on it as part of a team, alongside other frontend and backend developers. After moving to another product, I continued to support the project by supervising the interns working on it.

  3. Web Apps for Events Hosted by Popular Polish Streamers

I developed a variety of web applications for online events hosted by some of Poland’s most popular gaming streamers. I worked both independently and as part of a team, often under tight deadlines.

  4. Free Psychological Support Platform

I developed the frontend of a platform for a foundation providing free psychological support, including a dedicated real-time chat. The platform features an admin panel for approving applications, matching people seeking support with volunteers, approving and editing articles, managing user permissions, forms, and chats, and browsing large lists such as user directories.

I also designed the application’s UI. To support the mobile app, I created a shared UI component library built on Tamagui, used by both the web app and the React Native app.

04 — OUTSIDE OF WORK

I like to travel

Outside of work, I love exploring new places, meeting people, and discovering different cultures. From the landscapes of Iceland to the streets of Japan, and the sunny shores of Madeira, Cyprus, and Tenerife, every destination has something unique to offer.

  • Green mountain ridges above the ocean on Madeira
  • A car with a rooftop tent by a lake under a grey Icelandic sky
  • Jakub holding a tray of street food on a busy, neon-lit street in Japan
05 — GUESTBOOK

I love connecting people through the power of frontend
